E.S.I. was founded in 1989 by John Jordan in response to a need for environmentally responsible reclamation in the mining and geothermal industries. E.S.I. has expanded to include exploration and consulting. E.S.I. counts among its clients dozens of mining companies, federal, state and local government agencies and private businesses and individuals.

Registered as a small business in the federal register, E.S.I. is a woman-owned small business. E.S.I. has performed work in Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, California and Washington.

Exploration

E.S.I. has fifteen years of experience in mining and geothermal exploration. Our proven experience in road and site work with sensitivity to minimizing disturbance has met with favorable reviews from regulatory agencies.

We have an auger drill which is set up to do deep soil sampling, install geothermal gradient sensors, and shallow soil sampling. The drill is mounted on a buggy rig which allows minimal environmental impact in sensitive areas.

Reclamation

E.S.I. has nearly two decades of reclamation experience in mining and geothermal. We specialize in the most challenging projects and solving your reclamation problems.

We have removed roads and drill pads and re-contoured land to remove most traces of disturbance. Our multi-year projects to reclaim disturbed riparian areas have won praise. We utilize innovative methodology to meet the requirements of the project no matter how large or small. We will work with you to develop the best seed mix to support wildlife and soil stabilization goals.

John Jordan

E.S.I. founder and President, John Jordan, won the Oregon Reclamationist of the Year Award in 1999 in a state noted for its stringent environmental standards. Likewise, his reclamation work for Morrison Knudsen and other mining companies has won awards.

John was raised on Jordan family ranch and developed the Bully Creek Riparian Project, now showcased by federal agencies as a standard for riparian functionality. His talent for designing roads to ensure successful reclamation is highly recognized.
